Woodland Fungi Identification Walk
A day identifying woodland fungi above Snailbeach with Shropshire Fungi Group
This is one of a series of walks in the Shropshire Hills for people interested in plants and fungi. The walks are also training session for surveying plants and fungi and have been supported by a small grant from the Shropshire Hills Conservation Fund.
The sessions aim to teach people how to identify and record veteran trees, fungi, ferns and mosses as well as flowering plants, and encourages new people to get involved in active conservation.
Please bring sturdy footwear (walking boots or wellies), waterproofs, and lunch/refreshments if needed. Booking is not essential, but it is helpful to know how many people are intending to come so if you are able, please email cassy.clayton@naturalengland.org.uk in the week before the walk if you are intending to come.
