The Advisory Committee is a new part of our structure from February 2026 following a review during 2025. It has the formal status of a ‘Joint Advisory Committee’ to the two local authorities – Shropshire Council and Telford & Wrekin Council.
It has 12 members and its purpose is to provide scrutiny of the National Landscape Team’s work and advise the Councils regarding the designated area.

We are currently recruiting for 7 open seats on the Committee, who will join 5 Council appointees.
