Young Ranger activity - pond dipping platform

‘BUILD AND SKILLS’ PROJECT: building a pond-dipping platform 

This is the Young Rangers’ first build task and hopefully one of many!

This project activity will be supported by the Shropshire Council Rights of Way team. A dipping platform is essentially a boardwalk leading to a wildlife pond - our plan is to make it wheelchair accessible.

Other activities for the day include…testing it out…by pond-dipping! As well as sketching out design ideas for a small interpretation panel. This task is a  good insight into countryside access and Rights of Way work for any aspiring Young Rangers out there!
